MEGA JOB FAIR 23rd December 2021 at KLS Gogte Institute of Technology, Belagavi.

KLS Gogte Institute of Technology Belagavi Karnataka in association with Karnataka Skill Development Corporation and Department of IT, BT, S&T organised a mega job fair “Jobs for All” for BE, Diploma and ITI graduates today. 4000+ youth took advantage of this fair with over 70 employers participating. Shri. Basavraj Bommai, Hon. CM Karnataka State and Dr. CN Ashwath Narayana, Hon. Minister IT, BT, S&T, Higher education and many other dignitaries graced the occasion.

 
 
 
 
 
 

• Pre-Placement Training:

Pre-Placement training sessions were conducted in the institute by experts from various streams. These included Quantitative Technique as well as Aptitude, English, Simulated Group Discussions and Personal Interviews. GIT college has a professional alliance with BIZOTIC, Bengaluru for implementation of the Aptitude Training program for the 5th and 6th semesters BE, 3rd and 4th semesters MCA and 1st and 2nd semester MBA. The training provided is of high quality and supported with exhaustive course material for reference. Company specific Aptitude training for various companies are conducted under Placement Training activities.

• Study Abroad Counselling:

GIT has an understanding with the TIME institution Belagavi for guiding students for higher studies abroad. From preparation for GRE/TOEFL/IELTS, application form filling, writing SOP and admission process, the entire gamut of procedures are made simple by the consultants at TIME.

The experts guide and counsel the students into career development and the pre-requisites in soft skills and aptitude required to ace the placement drives. One such program was conducted by Mr. Samir Dhond, Senior VP at Ittiam Systems Bangalore. This was a 3 days engagement with excellent advice and motivation for the students. Every semester has the advantage of such sessions regularly.   Study Abroad Counselling: In a recent online webinar (June 17 2020), Ms. Kanchi Arora, DAAD representative for Karnataka and Kerala addressed GIT students interested in studying Post Graduation in GERMANY.

Industry Pre and Post COVID-19 session for Mechanical and Aeronatical Engineers: Mr. Kishor Kulkarni, Project Manager Metalsa India, Pune address our students (June 18, 2020) from Mechanical and Aeronautical engineering streams about relevance of up-skilling and learning Software Technologies for getting into specialized jobs and beat the competition.

Placement Readiness Online Session: Placement Officer Mr. Satish Hukkeri conducted a placement connect session  (July 15, 2020) for all 6th sem students passing out in 2021 regarding the entire process of placement, preparation and included guidance from various faculty members too from BE and MCA streams. This session helps students to understand their preparedness and motivates them to do more and better for the forthcoming placement season.

PWC Industry Expert Talk on SALESFORCE:   Ms. Manaswi and Mr. Kishore from Salesforce guided the students (July 10, 2020) with the relevance of studying contemporary skills along with the regular syllabus. This session took deep insights into the world of Customer Relationship Management.

Industry Specific Training Sessions: Mr. Prabhakaran Natarajan, Head-Agile Coach Tata Consultancy Services TCS, addressed all our students (June 9, 2020) on the latest and relevant skills needed for getting placed into high paying jobs. He exposed the students to the world of new technologies at TCS and the various competencies that students must possess in today’s context.

Bizotic Training Program: GIT has an understanding with Bizotic, Bangalore, experts in specific and focused training in Aptitude Skills and Soft Skills Development and also company specific training for TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS, MINDTREE and AMCAT based tests for the Pre Final Year students. This training results in a VERY HIGH conversion ratio of students from the Screening tests to final Interviews. Placement related interaction with the corporate sector. • Placement Connect sessions for orienting students of 3rd semester onward
• Every department has nominated a Faculty Coordinator for Placement Activities. These coordinators are very active and help the last mile connectivity between the Placement Cell and the students. They also conduct special skill development programs for the students of their branch regularly. They invite guest lecturers from the industry and conduct industry awareness sessions for the students.
• Placement Cell regularly evaluates student video resumes, videos on answering typical interview questions
• Regular sessions by our esteemed alumni who are top notch professionals all over the globe
